181-Fire Breathing Pink Ponies

Last day of Safety Camp today.
It ended with a hot dog dinner and a showcase display
of all the kids learned this week.
Zach and his friend Brayden were put in the
BRIGHT PINK group.
The group named themselves the
"Fire Breathing Pink Ponies".

174-For The Gum Man

The kids and I unwrapped and sorted 500 packages of gum today.
Our church is blessed with "The Gum Man".
Each week he passes out sticks of gum to children.
He is being honored on Sunday and used as an illustration
in a message on "kindness".
This week, CHILDREN are the ones who will be passing
out the gum. :)

173-Wednesday Mornings

It is a pleasure to briefly meet with our Pastor on
Wednesday mornings.
We discuss his upcoming sermon and
come up with ideas for images/slides that will support
the points of his message.
I then go home and search for the images.
It's an enjoyable and fulfilling little task for me.
Every week our prayer is that as the listener/viewer
sees the photo, it will assist in conveying the point and
thus impact that life a little more in it's quest for
knowing Jesus.

168-Self Portrait-3x15

Me.....at......45.
No, I'm not pointing to my wrinkles.
But rather to my brain so that I
can be reminded when I see those wrinkles.....
of the wisdom and gratefulness for
the experience gained in
those 45 years. :)

BTW....Had one of the most fun bdays
in recent years....lots of play, sunshine, laughing
and a few treats.!

166-One, Two, Three

We have a tradition of taking a friend(s) for ice cream
to celebrate the last day of school.
Tomorrow is actually the last day of school but Z's
friends are headed for vacation right after
school.....so we got to celebrate a day early. :)

164-For Me?

Who doesn't love a pretty little dessert
with a candle in it??

163-For Monet

A quilt I made as a high school graduation gift for our niece.
She went to Lakeridge H.S. and lettered in cross country.
(Hence....the letter "L")

162-Nothin' Better To Do

Guest photographer Alexa took this photo.
You can't tell but, I am stuck holding two shower doors
and the upper rail/track they rest on.
I tried to take them off so I could clean
really well between the track on the bottom.
Didn't work. It all came down collectively in one
precarious piece, too heavy for me.
Greg wasn't home.....Zach called him for me.
He was 20 minutes away in Corvallis.
So....there I stood until my hero arrives to save me.

161-Bieber Believer

Not ashamed to admit...
I AM A BIEBER BELIEVER!!

Today was the day. NEVER would have thought it could happen.
I rented the Bieb's "Never Say Never" documentary movie....
FOR MY CHILDREN.
(The plan was video night for the family except we got two
separate movies...one for Mom and Dad, one for the kids.)
I was finishing up some computer work in the living room
when G started the movie for the kids and let's just say
"It had me at 'hello'. "
Never did start the movie for G and myself.
We both watched Never Say Never to the end.

What a sweet kid. What a cute personality.
WHAT A STORY!!!
Love, love, loved it.
Go Justin, go be your sweet self and use those
amazing gifts God gave you!!

160-Moo

I would really, really love to get some good close up pictures
of my Dad's cows........but they are sooo skiddish.....
they just run from me. :(

154-Balm For My Soul

Always and only a pleasure to spend time with
my good friend Carol.
Today we had lunch and
sunned ourselves a bit on her deck.
She has been a BRIGHT light in my life. :)
